Organized by AIS SIG -IS in Asia Pacific (ISAP), USA


Supported by College of Business, Ohio University, USA, and Data Science and Quality Research Center, Management School, Xi’an Jiaotong University, China




The symposium will be held in Milan, Italy in conjunction with ICIS 2013 conference. It is to provide a forum where international scholars and practitioners interested in IS/IT issues of Asia Pacific can come together for networking, sharing research and practice ideas and experiences, and promoting research collaborations. We invite quality submissions from all areas in information management, particularly original and leading-edge research examining issues in big data, information/ data quality, business intelligence, and management. We welcome both completed research papers, case studies, and research-in-progress papers that examine IS/IT issues from diverse theoretical perspectives and using a variety of research methodologies. Research topics include, but not limited to:



l  Organization Theory, Firm Performance, and Big Data


l  Information Quality, Data Quality


l  Social Computing and Big Data Related Issues


l  Business Intelligence


l  Knowledge Management Systems and Technologies in Big Data area


l  Economics of Big Data


l  Information security and privacy in Big Data area


l  Managing IT infrastructure in the global economy


l  IT-Business strategy alignment and IT governance


l  Information system design and development


l  Electronic commerce and mobile commerce


l  E-government


l  Cultural, social, and political issues in IS/Big Data


l  Business modelling techniques in Big Data


l  Emerging information technologies and other IS research issues



Paper Submission:


All submitted papers will undergo a blind peer review process. Please submit through: https://www.easychair.org/conferences/?conf=aissigisap2013


All submissions should use Microsoft Word format only. Please do not include author names or other identifications in the manuscript, including document properties and tracked changes (blind the submission). Please use MISQ paper style for your paper and references, and limit your completed research and case study papers to 2 page extended abstracts (excluding references etc), single-spaced with 12-point Times New Roman font.
