Second Life Hunts for Valentine’s Day 2013

I decided to take a little break from building since there are so many exciting SL HUNTS going on and wanted to share my accomplishment and some HUNT INFO with you! I plan to continue bringing you Second Life adventures that I have experienced in hopes you will enjoy and partake as well!

Most of you know there is a place called The Cookie Jar House & Garden Village Community which caters to your home and garden needs, makes a beautiful setting for taking pictures as well as having a central hub for active and current SL Hunts! Upon my entering the main adobe, there were 2 full boards for February Hunts ~ WOW! And, if I counted it right, there are 43 hunts going on! (There are probably lots more going on in SL, too, besides these.)

The first board I clicked on sent me the Hunt Info titled “The Cookie Jar’s For The Love of … House and Garden Hunt (Feb 1-15)”. The Info Cards given to you may describe the items in the hunts, discussions about the creators of items you will receive, any possible web links to refer to, any groups you may need to join for assistance, the creator names of persons forming the hunt and a link where the Hunt begins, etc. The main advertising board for each Hunt will have an item attached to it depicting the theme of the hunt so you know to hunt for to receive your goodies.

Some hunts are different in that they are performed within the same shop or sim, yet most are SL grid wide where you travel from location to location. From my experience when you find the item and receive the folder it will give you a landmark (and sometimes a hint) for the next location. While I was there, I clicked all the boards to read about their Hunts to decide which one I wanted to venture on to first.

Since this is the romantic month of Valentine’s Day wearing that perfect lingerie holds a desire for spending amorous moments with your significant other~ I chose “Carrie’s Lingerie BE MINE Hunt” for today. So off I flew to her lovely shop {Teleport to: http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Carries%20Dreams/87/140/22 } and so began the process of hunting for her ordained treasure chest. I paid a mere $69Linden for the HUD. Each time I found a chest, the item would fill up on onscreen HUD. The hunt item is “Carrie’s Be Mine” lingerie which includes men’s and ladies!

Carrie’s Lingerie shop is quite unique as she displays several POSING PROPS for your enjoyment and photographic opportunities. I fell in love with the “Diesel Works – The Debutante Chaise – Red” lounge and champaigne. Had a little fun posing, took a break and sipped on Champaigne!

She also creates and sells her own POSING PROPS ~ my favorite is her “Love My Carries’ Shoes Pose Prop” which includes 7 poses with an over sized high heel. Upstairs you will enjoy her posing room with delightful backgrounds.

A little more about her shop: They are holding a SALE every day until Valentine’s Day. Her designs are exquisite so I hope you visit and shop with her soon! She has Associates available for assistance, supports many celebrated SL Groups & Events and has a lovely entry desk area complete with information.

The shop is very well laid out ( no bumpies into other avi’s lol ) and her décor is quite eloquent! I love the shops that offer purchasing items as a GIFT while you are there and she has GIFT CARDS available for purchase at her front desk.

Carrie’s Lingerie offers a Reward Program which keeps track of your purchases to accumulate for discounts (click the sign to obtain info). There are 2 groups available to join, one of which is her VIP Group for higher percentage discounts on your shopping pleasures with her! If you are capped out on your Groups to join (like me), she has a Subscriber available for group notices and specials. And most brilliant of all? If you happen to be low on Linden, you can also purchase with your PayPal and Credit Cards! Woohoo!

That last treasure chest was a doozy to find (and nope I can’t give you any hints), but once I filled up my HUD and received my luscious gift, I rushed home to try it on. Knowing she has charming Posing Props, I thought it to be fun to take a few photographs there wearing my new “BE MINE” Valentine’s Lingerie ensemble and to mingle with a few friends.

It’s always a pleasure to meet other hunter’s in the course of the hunt as well as do a little shopping! Well you know me, I tend to be a shopaholic! Linden Labs must love me! Her shop was quite busy with hunters and shoppers ~ I am sure she is thrilled!

So the end result of my delicious hunt experience allowed me to create more stunning pictures for your viewing pleasure and to add to my collection of art! Enjoy this hunt and reward!
