“Memoirs of YoZakura” by Bambi Chicque

A reflection of YoZakura revolves around a stunning epic series of Japanese artistic gardens,

waterfalls, structures, zibburats and cherry blossom trees.

To stroll amid this gorgeous terrace and garden style district of Fantasy Faire 2015

creates a longing to stay and never leave.  One must visit YoZakura if they ever wish

to visit the lands of Japan and feel as if you have unpacked your suitcase

and arrived amid a distinct cultural nation of the Japanese history.

European names for the country of Japan probably originated with Marco Polo’s influence,

who most likely adopted a name for it used in a Chinese dialect.

I believe, since most everything I have ever read or seen about this beautiful country,

with every segment of their culture and stories are derived from adventurous persons

of history who created an everlasting impact through the arts, architecture, song and dance,

economy, science, government and religion.

Spending most of my life in the fashion industry, I have had the blessed opportunities

to meet people from around the world; just about every culture and country.

We in Second Life are able to do this every day.

The encounters we see through Linden’s visions of how SL is created “by the people”

amazes us all as we embark on our daily virtual journeys.

The Fantasy Faire is among the most popular in all its grandness where we all take

so much back with us, be it to our homes, our wardrobe inventories or

through the windows of photography.

Visiting YoZakura is a stunning experience.

I personally cannot take enough photos of this delightful and perfect sim!

There is never enough said about visiting Yoakura,

but I must alter the subject and reflect upon a fantasy dream in story:

First, let me introduce you to an Azul Modish Geisha, Kabocha.

She has graced in age and beauty from her former years of prestige

with the Samurai to the art of the Kabuki Theatre.

This lonely night she sought out to visit the gardens she once played in as a girl

and found herself lifted up with spiritual pleasures upon arriving beside the Torii’s near the sacred grounds.

Climbing the winding stone path along the lit gardens and trails, a hissing sound sped through

the wind and touched her soft white shoulders.

She had heard of the great beasts that once lurked in the darkness

of the ponds and skies here in this cherry blossom oasis.

Kabocha whirled around and flew toward the vibrant sonority with all her braveness

to see what brushed upon her moments ago.

The curiosity grew stronger as she panned the lands of YoZakura.

Then, there it was in clear sight.

High upon a mountain.

As big as Samurai’s heart.

Climbing to the very tip as far as it could reach; the incredible large tail and claws

braved their way into the rock canyons as bits of stone tumbled below.

Each step pounded like thunder.

Then it stopped.

As he turned, their eyes met.

All sounds ceased and Kabocha’s heart throbbed with echos throughout the skies above.

What is his plan, she wondered?

Will he draw the purple fire toward her that comes from his breath?

Will he fly and capture her with his powerful spell?

Moments passed as their inspection of one another became a curious gaze.

Both hearts met atop the gales and breeze.

A kind of distant friendship was slowly presumed with a wordless acceptance.

They have both graced in age and beauty from former years of prestige

with the Samurai to the art all Japan’s wonders.

It felt like days they both stood so still admiring each other’s unique charm and smiles.

As years passed Kabocha still finds herself roaming the great land of YoZakura

and gazing up at the mountain to find her esteemed friend she once felt as one in harmony with.

If you should happen to visit YoZakura before the land disappears, you too may find this

mythical dragon and make a new friend along the way.

I am sure Kabocha will still travel there, too, and wonder as she recreates fading memoirs

to scribe into notebooks and blogs!

Whisper a sweet hello to both if you are lucky enough to capture a glimpse of them yourself!

Who knows, maybe you will be one of YoZakura’s adventurous history makers, too!
