It’s always a sad day to say goodbye to Fantasy Faire. I tend to come to Alia Baroque’s Region to take my last photo; watching over the sailboats flowing through the pass he creates. I could sit here for hours, too! Not only to gaze at the astounding world of lights, bridge passes and magnificent buildings but to watch the diversity of magical dragons that land, the elaborate attire people adorn and whimsical fantasies flying all around me.

Fantasy Faire is a world of hope connecting strangers and friends, designers and bloggers, fairies and elves, dinkies and teegles, mermaids and unicorns, pirates and gladiators, giants and tinies! We seek out the anomalous statues, hidden treasures below and prizes through our quest.

We all become stars along the way, taking photographs, wearing our best and attending the daily events with amusing entertainment and merriment. But the real heroes to our story are those who “relay”. There is no way to come to this venue and not know the true cause for this gathering. Relay For Life vendors are strategically placed at our landings and in the shops. Knowing as soon as you click to “buy”, the Lindens will go toward a purpose of research and possibilities to find a cure for cancer.

On the last day of the faire, I get such a heartrending feeling. And yet, I know this shall return to Second Life again next year.

Farewell Zodiac,

Tell me it won’t matter

Promise me where ever I am

You’ll be with me

In the place where “Goodbye”

Does not matter

Because the goal and purpose

Was fulfilled,

And we shall come together again next year.
