“Running Eyes” by Bambi Chicque

Traditional worship functions are a part of Native American tribal gatherings with dance,

chants, songs, rhythm and trance.  Sacred beliefs and narration are deeply occupied in

nature and are rich with the symbolism of plants, earth, animals,

weather, seasons, sky, water and fire! The principle of an all embracing,

universal and omniscient Great Spirit, a connection to Mother Earth,

diverse creation narratives and collective memories of

ancient ancestors are colloquial among tribes.

Earth teach me freedom
as the eagle which soars in the sky.
Earth teach me regeneration
as the seed which rises in the spring.
Earth teach me to forget myself
as melted snow forgets its life.
Earth teach me to remember kindness
as dry fields weep with rain.

MFGC Blogger Challenge “It’s A Fantasy New Year!”

MFGC!

As a new year touches our lives in Second Life,

we gain more knowledge of and experiences within the depths of our

fantasy world we have all come to love and cherish!

The new year for Medieval Fantasy Grid Crier brings more Designers to

our group, added incredible Bloggers to our group, an amass of new

roleplay challenges with places to explore and enjoy; including astonishing designs

to embrace our wardrobe closets and decorative sims.

I have a Blogger Challenge in the midst for our MFGC Blog Team!

“It’s A Fantasy New Year!”

With this new concept, I am currently designing a

Blogger Appreciation MFGC Art Gallery

for each of our Blog Team Members to display 2 pieces of art to sell.

I have yet to come up with a name, but it will be accompanying

my BamPu Legacies Art Gallery next to my

(under construction) new main shop!

For this challenge, the Team is required to utilize items “and” clothing

from our MFGC Designer’s décor,

builds, animals, homes, wardrobes, skins, tattoos, accessories

– another words, not just an outfit and a candle placed somewhere.

We want to show off an array of designs in a fantasy new year theme

representing multiple designs!

Stay tuned for more information with landmarks.

Keep up with the photos our super stars are posting on our

Medieval Fantasy Grid Crier FLICKR!

"When Horses Fly" by Bambi Chicque

“When Horses Fly” by Bambi Chicque

The Year Of Our Lord 1554:  Among the fjords of Bergen, one might capture a

glimpse of merhorses flying among the birds or gliding atop

the waves and tides of the azure seas…

Fast forward to 1846 where James Wilson and James Boehner sailed along the shores

of St. Margaret’s Bay in Nova Scotia when they spotted a great merhorse

with a flowing mane…..

Sometime in 1913 another observation by a steamer crew sat back in awe as one

appeared alongside with a smooth, yet furry seal-like body

reeling along the ocean’s mist….

And now in 2015 you can enjoy a prodigious scene with wondrous

flying horses at my SL12B BamPu Legacies & The SL Photographers Exhibit !!

Be sure to click the stars for a superb flying effect in front of the

turquoise Merhorse and elven bridge!

Enjoy!  Bambi

Sabbian Paine

Sabbian Paine Banner.

Sabbian Paine has been capturing the world of Second Life through his lens since

early 2009 when he was introduced to the world of Second Life photography.

What started out as a hobby for this real life artist soon became a big passion for Sabbian.

SL quickly became a new platform of self expression allowing a limitless

source of atmospheres and backdrops to his work which he often refers to being

submersed in a world filled with three dimensional art.

In addition to being constantly inspired by the creations SL has to offer,

music and emotions

play a big driving force behind in Sabbian’s work.

Each piece shares the title or a lyric of a song which inspired it

and is meant to be experienced with the song playing like a soundtrack to that image.

Sabbian has exhibited in various galleries across the grid including his first solo

exhibition in 2013 at at the Vampre Cultural Centre in his family sim of Transylvania

where he now has his main gallery. He has also exhibited at Nitroglobus,

The Rose Gallery, The Dominion Gallery,  Beguiled Spring Art Walk, Gallery Assis,

Galeries de Sinne, Galerie des Machines, Isole Art Gallery, The Gallery at Somerton,

Pessoa Gallery, Artists 4 SL, Crossworld’s Gallery and Branwen Arts..

Sabbian’s work has also been featured in a number of SL magazines

including a RL online publication.

Cammino e Vivo Capovolto by Mistero Hifeng

As a tribute to Second Life, a surreal journey beyond the time.

Visit this amazing exhibit at SL12B Pizzazz!

Stay up to date!

Most art-install seekers of Second Life knows of the mysterious and unique

marbled works of Mistero Hifeng.  SL12B is endowed by having him agglutinate

parts of his designs from his current “Cammino e Vivo Capovolto”!

As you encounter his overwhelming, yet subtle, blending of dreamy realities

you can almost hear his sculptures whispering to you.

Each tells their own story as long as you allow them to.

Yesterday was SL12B Press Day where the parcels were full of bouncing and

flying photographers from all walks of historian and event reporters, bloggers

& press teams.  I was careful in selecting one of the most matchless and novel peculiars

you may chance upon when you visit this Celebration!

I salute Mistero for his brave and marveled imagination as he continues

to create remarkable exhibits for all of SL to enjoy!

Hope to see you there soon!

"SL12B Dreaming" by Bambi Chicque

“SL12B Dreaming” by Bambi Chicque

SL Community Celebration is upon us once again honoring our 12th birthday year!

Doors will open June 21 through June 28, 2015.

KEEP UP TO DATE: SL12B

“What Dreams May Come” is this year’s theme!

As I have been building there and flying around shooting photos for the SL12B Guide,

I am more than impressed with everyone’s envision of this

topic which touches us all in a melody of motifs!

We all love the multitude of fantasy faires, themed events, unique and different installment builds

along with visiting sims where the creator has peak elements of techy concoctions to present!

So, when we visit any of the SL Community Birthday Celebrations,

strolling along the sidewalks or riding the pod,

we spend hours upon hours filling our eyes, cameras and mind with the most

imaginative inventions where the Creator’s dream came alive!

You will find representation of role-play sims, universities, information centers,

charities, entertainment venues, art installments & galleries, scientific displays,

designers of many types

exhibiting some of their creations available at their shops

….and more and more and more!

∻⊰♡ ⊱∻

This is an event where you will find our newcomers roaming with eagerness to learn,

creators and builders visiting one another’s exhibits and chatting along

with compliments and ideas, buyers and freebie hunters

looking for something odd or new or a souvenir to rez out

(all gifts at SL12B are free) and awe over,

bloggers snapping away for photos, writers writing away,

video experts shooting live footage,

entertainers galore at their scheduled events and wondering around afterwards to

say “howdy” to visitors, etc, etc, etc…..

the list flies on and on and dreams ever more!

∻⊰♡ ⊱∻

It’s my opinion that this event stands out with utmost importance

for all the citizens of Second Life

and reveals vast levels of reasons we are all here and spend so much time designing

who we want to be in this vibrant virtual world.

∻⊰♡ ⊱∻∻⊰♡ ⊱∻∻⊰♡ ⊱∻

Now a little rambling for me…and you…..

I personally prefer to dress a little more in casual fashion or jean-style attire while here;

taking me away from my endless role-play and exotic inventory folders.

Reason??

Well, I feel more comfortable and I prefer to do my part to keep the scripts and lag down.

This isn’t an event I want to go to and show off myself,

I want to see what everyone else is showing off!

∻⊰♡ ⊱∻

AVOID LAG – Just a little hint:

Once the celebration opens and with all the mixed ingredients, materials, scripts, textures,

music and huge crowds of avis…..there will be lag.

What can you do?

First off, close out everything!

Close out all browser windows, close out any programs you have running,

turn your preferences way down, turn off your mic,

wear non-scripted articles of clothing (why not go with just layered items?),

make sure you have X’d out all your messages that are lingering,

only have one inventory available (not two),

delete any landmarks that are hovering at the top of your screen and, in fact,

try to go just invisible!

Can you imagine how much this would help if everyone did this?

∻⊰♡ ⊱∻

So, now for my photo presenting my rendition of SL12B ~ 12-Year Birthday!….

The Annex sent this fashionable “Carrie” Skirt in Bird Of Paradise texturing just on time

for me to search for something comfy and casual; yet dressy enough for my photo!

(Actually, I am thrilled with it!)

I took the scripts out of my hair and found some non-scripted pumps to wear!

If you have ever been a Builder or part of the SL12B Team/Entertainment/Press

at any of the SL Celebrations, you know that at first peak

you see an endless and limitless row of empty sims after sims stretching out to dreamland.

The clouds pace and puff above you traveling around and around

until you finally start to see the spectacle of items

going up and up and up daily…..

and finally…..

towers and towers of intelligence, colors and complexity appear!

That’s why I thought I would give you a little “SL12B Dreaming” peak at what that’s like!

Enjoy!  xoxo Bambi

“Anything you dream is fiction,
and anything you accomplish is science,
the whole history of mankind is nothing but science fiction.”
– Ray Bradbury

With thought of how Major Tom stepped through the door many moons ago,
Chigs and I decided to find our own cyber path and door
late one evening when we needed a little intermission
from designing!

We both scooped into our inventory and tossed on our
Cyber Outfits from GRAVES and scooted over to the
Futurewave Event to pick up a few more new cyber trinkets
to add to our collection. I was amazed!

We were both sending out frantic IM’s to anyone online
who could tell us where a great deep space environment would
be to run explore and take photographs! Then we both realized
we already had similar landmarks; tittering and twittering together!

Today I’m excited to show you my entry for the 2013 Oscar Fashion Photo Contest (see photo below) which is sponsored by Sascha’s Designs and Styles by Danielle!  I first learned about this contest while visiting The Rose Theatre with a friend. So I thought I’d do a little write up real quick about The Rose Theatre / Angel Manor and plan to add more notes regarding Sascha’s Designs and Stylle immediately following.

Information regarding the contest can be viewed here:

http://harper-ganesvoort.com/2013/01/07/2013-oscar-fashion-photo-contest-announced/

My first visit to The Rose Theatre / Angel Manor was in November 2012 while on another “photo shoot” opp with a friend.  He suggested we visit the Rose Theatre Art Gallery in hopes to continue my inspiration and aspirations for my personal graphics artwork and future plans with it in SecondLife and my personal website.

I have a grand collection of photographs to add to my website very soon. http://tanyaelisehowardphotography.yolasite.com/

The Rose Theatre

The first area we ventured into was the Library!  I gasped at the beauty and perfect texturing throughout which resulted in excellent craftsmanship in design.  I’m quite picky about texturing myself!  There are so many rooms and areas to visit ~ it reminds me of the Smithsonian Institute in that you just can’t see it all in one day!  I had seen photographs of this amazing Library on the web in the past and was delighted to actually be inside it now!  It’s breathtaking and is a “must see” in SL!!

Angel Manor Library

We spent several hours wondering around and taking pictures before we entered the Art Gallery since I was so excited for all the beautiful and entertaining surroundings.  Once inside the Art Gallery I studied carefully the variety of art displayed with impressed thoughts and kudos in my mind for the Artists!  I hope to show my work there someday, too.

The Rose Theatre Art Gallery

I made sure to click on all the visitor information signs for their events, performance venues and art show dates.  This is when I read about the Oscar’s Photo Contest and decided right there and then to enter when the time came around again.

Beautiful stained glass windows At Angel Manor!

Beautiful stained glass windows At Angel Manor!

We went back many more times and attended an exquisite Christmas Event:  The Nutcracker Performance. I felt like I was actually living inside SL for real while gazing at the dancers and mesmerized by the music.

The Nutcracker Performance December 2012

The Nutcracker Performance December 2012

The gorgeous stage and extravagant performance hall is one of the most impressive I have seen in SL.  Quite glamorous!!  There is a sort of elegant vintage feel when you are a guest of this venue.  I hope they put on Phantom Of The Opera sometime soon, too!

The palace was built by Kaya Angel.  One of the rooms has magnificent art hanging with a photograph of Kaya and associates.  (photo to be added soon)

And so the time arrived to enter the 2013 Oscar Fashion Photo Contest and I have been a busy little bee changing into an array of evening gowns, setting up my own props at the BamPu Legacies Photography Studio and simply visiting sims to take pictures.  My friends always IM me to come play ~ but I have been on a mission for the last month to get that final photo to submit.  So, here you are!

Bambi Chicque Entry for 2013 Oscar Fashion Photo Contest

Upon viewing the numerous entries for this special contest, I have admired them all.  I would like to extend my best wishes to everyone!

Shoes:  MWC Sandale Joys – gold with diamonds!

Hair:  Earth & Sky “Tanya” true black

Jewelry: a)  MLC Mohna Lisa Couture “Audrey” ~ love the way the diamonds drape down the back! B) Mistwood Diamond Ring

I do hope you will visit The Rose Theatre and enjoy it as much as I do.  I have many more pictures to post and am thinking I will make a special folder for them!

Ciao for now!

HOW IT ALL BEGAN…

Bambi & Gopu ~ Mermaid Water Dancing

Bambi & Gopu ~ Mermaid Water Dancing

Coming from another popular virtual world where I worked as a Moderator

for several years as well as obtaining a high profile status as a Player and a

Master Mission Maker was a hard decision to grasp when I made my move

to SecondLife. I had been honored by having 3 Featured Missions;

selected from thousands available to play. I still get questions on my Facebook and

Skype about particular interactions

for them when someone gets stuck and needs help!

BamPu Legacies Special Notes (2)

But, upon discovering a new passion in the creative challenges and endless possibilities for

my talents, I decided to tread through deeper waters in SecondLife!

I knew I was hooked the first day my friend brought me into this new world

and my head instantly whirled with ideas! I began designing as soon as I arrived

in Second Life and “foldered-up” lots of goodies to prepare for my shop:

BamPu Legacies Main Shop!

As far as my real life goes, my Father taught me how to design jewelry many moons

ago, may he rest in peace. Clutched with my modeling career, some acting and

dancing for Star City Dancers, listed with Kim Dawson Modeling Agency,

and working at the Dallas Apparel Mart as a Showroom Manager and

Marketing Director – I soon began to design my own lines of fashion jewelry

and clothing. I did this up until about 5 years ago when I moved to Alaska

for a photography adventure which lasted well over a year!

I have been blessed throughout my entire life and looking back at all the countries

I visited and fell in love with, all the worldly friends I am cherished with and

my family’s love – my life has now been sprinkled yet again with hundreds

of new friends with whom we all share a common goal together in SecondLife!

I have a Marketing Degree which has really helped put me on the map

for any business I develop. I have also written story lines for books

(and possibly screenplays since I have a local Director/Producer here in Dallas

urging me to get one to him) to be soon published. Yep, I stay quite busy!

I have my own photography website and building a new one at the moment.

I have accumulated hundreds of Awards on Flickr for my SL Photography

and have opened an Art Gallery where I have many plans to invite

some of my fellow Photographers to share their work there, too!

Both my Grand Mother and my Father taught me to paint and I spent

endless summers developing many more creative

talents that hold a special place in my heart because of them.

I have even been told that I could take Fred Sampson’s old grungy garage

and turn it into a Smithsonian Museum! LOL

I am in photoshop just about 24/7, I spend time at one of my best friend’s Ranch

outside of Austin, Texas where I ride horses and take photographs and

I create more and more clothing and decorative items while adding

to my shops in SL. But, the most favorite thing I love to do is my

Photography and Graphics – especially within the never-ending amazements

we all share and glide through in SecondLife!

I am a shopaholic and a gachaholic! I love buying poses, hair, jewelry, shoes…etc!

I have the honor of blogging for many other Designers and my IM’s are

capped every day with questions, requests, news, updates….well you know the ropes! LOL

I have several Satellite Shops in SecondLife and a MAIN SHOP.

I hope you come to visit me and feel free to send me a notecard any time.
