While creating a scene for my photo and ad, as I usually do,

the winds of whimsical lingered throughout and I decided

to make this one available for YOU!

Among my favorite colors, such as teals and turquoise, coppers and golden hues

capture the spirit of my heart when designing.

I worked hard to create a glimmering leather gradient for the gown

and perfected a soft golden fur for the stole and lower ruffled skirt!

I hope it’s pleasing to you, too!

I am on a roll with designing whimsical hats since I made out like a bandit

during Art In Hats where I was in the top sales list!

I love this precious baby elephant laying down snacking on his peanuts.

In setting up my textures for the scene,

I wanted to magnify the fantasies of butterfly wings on the elephants.

The colors of my golden and copper tones flow flawlessly throughout

all the items available in this scene!

I will create more textures for my

“Blown Away Tree” for a later day,

for now this one coordinates with my

“Tandy Elephant Safari Scene & Blown Away Tree” Full Set.

“Home For The Holidays” by Bambi Chicque

Tis the season to decorate!

Another Christmas celebrating Second Life Style

with an abundance of friendship,

holiday shopping, festivals, advent calendars, hunts & art exhibits!

I am overjoyed to be an Official Blogger for the

2015 Windlight Winter Art Show & Winter Showcase

presented by Windlight Magazine!

I prepared a photo to include a lot of decor from the show and

it just seemed so “red”! Well….just too much red.

So~

I sat back to think about what to do since it simply appeared to be

a normal shot of a gorgeous Christmas living room.

Photoshop is my best friend….

So I played and played with some effects I like to dabble with.

I finally felt a golden photo in a Christmas Card style would

be my final goal.

Although you cannot see the up close beauty of LoveMe’s skin, the detail

in the texturing and holiday colors of Kaerri’s living room decor, nor the gorgeous

brocades in Tayren’s Fantasy Fashions Maiden Gown ~

trust me, everything here is absolutely amazing!

I was especially enchanted with Richie Narstrom’s “Solitude” Art

Photography which proudly hangs on my adorned wall!

While Solas and I were jumping for joy one day,

Blade called me and announced to me I was also nominated in the

I have been in avi heaven and thanking everyone for this

unforgettable nomination; and I know I have been up against

and proudly next to “the best”!

Strawberry Singh has been a silent mentor to me throughout my career

as a Second Life Blogger and I humbly extend my Congratulations to her

for winning in 2 Categories:

Favorite Fashion Blog and Favorite Fashion Blogger!

As I scour through her posts for information and updates,

I am always amazed this Teacher has so much time to dedicate herself

to publish astonishing material, photographs and tutorials

A few weeks ago I was excited to get an IM from a dear, dear friend of mine

that I have known in real for many years asking: “Bambi, is that you?”

Surprise!

She had just created an account so I took her to Slink, LoveMe Skins and several

other shops to help her get dolled up and model-like in Second Life!

My nick-name for her is Ariz and I am sure you will be seeing a lot of her with me!

She has always enjoyed my blog reviews and photography and said she wanted

to learn more about all this “stuff”!

Hence, I asked her to pose with me yesterday!

“Now I understand!”, she said!

I explained to her that it takes a lot for a Blogger to get one photograph

ready for review, time deciding on the scenery items or sim,

the poses, coordinating hair & nails & make-up & eyes & accessories,

making sure all the designers previewed are updated on a spreadsheet with all their links,

testing photo shots, setting windlights, crashing and coming back ( omg yes at times ),

setting the graphics levels just right, taking it to photoshop and preparing it for quality

digital art appeal, “fixing” things….yes I’m from Texas, ya’all!, and…..

well you know the rest of THAT story!

And you all know how long it takes to add to flickr groups!

Wheeeeewwwww! HOURS!

Yet it is sooooo worth it!

A few days ago I spent some time at the Wayward Carnival to take photos and

picked up these exquisite Old Ferris Wheels by Soy and decided to

toss out some abandoned items from Fetch for my photo shoot!

Yes, I have a Circus folder!

I decided to take Ariz to Runa’s sim “Dandelion Daydreams Factory” to show

it off and explain some tidbits about roleplay…..not to mention the hidden

tunnels to explore….and selected a nice cozy lagoon to set up for this photo!

And so as of very late last night it all came together!

Truth Hawks has announced a grid wide competition: Truth Model Search!

This is quite exciting to me as I remember purchasing loads of his hair when I first came into Second Life.

I have a huge dynamic folder dedicated to his excellent designs which I can alter depending on my mood and particular dress for the day.

The competition opened 14 May 2013 SLT and closes 1 June 2013.

He has a flickr page dedicated to everyone’s entries. I have admired numerous selections of many darling Second Life ladies that have entered.

You can post your photographs on his flickr to be included for the running to win a $2500 Truth Gift Card and have your picture featured in his store.

He is also selecting 10 lucky winners and will rotate posters featuring the selected models in his store as well as receive a $1000 Gift card.

Timeless ~ Truth Hair “Bea”

I jumped on the opportunity to join his competition for a few reasons.

#1 ~ I love his hair because it is exactly to me what it states “TRUE” ~ looks absolutely true and natural!

I am thrilled with the new colors for his mesh designs.

I purchased several new styles to include his $400Linden set with a variety of colors; rather than purchasing a single color set.

When I say variety? I mean ~ GOBS AND GOBS of variations are included in these sets.

I can’t wait to wear some of the new styles and colors I bought. All my friends know they will see me in a new outfit and hair design every time we visit!
